This grungy and delightful hostel near the base of Mt. Fuji, Japan

The breakfast here is incredible, the owner is really kind, and it’s an easy hike to the famous Chureito Pagoda with stunning views of the mountain, on a clear day (especially if you make the effort to go at dawn — the sunrise is worth it). Perfect destination for a night away if you’re staying in the Tokyo area.
